Evenstar
(Inspired by the song "Evenstar"
from The Two Towers. Click here

When the night comes, the
Evenstar shines,
and is mirrored in the world of men:
Undómiel, fairest of her people,
like a vision of a shining star sent to dwell on earth.
Her beauty is like the
gentle eve,
her light the light of the stars.
Her life is the life of the Elves,
yet her heart is the heart of a woman.
In her Tinúviel has come
again,
and walks the world among Elves and Men.
In a haven of peace amid seas of strife
she waits for him: her Beren.
She has made her choice.
She shall follow her heart.
She shall forsake her grace
and the life of the Elves.
The Evenstar is a blaze of
silver light,
ancient and glorious, bright and fair,
yet cleaves to the passing night;
for she has chosen the path of love.
When the night dies,
the Evenstar shall fade, pining in the grey dawn.
Her spirit will fly from this world forever,
for beyond is more than memory.
A star shines over Minas
Tirith.
